Last weekend, I had a lovely outing in Gangnam with two of my students and their mothers.
It wasn’t just about fun , it became an opportunity to see the city through the children’s eyes.
At COEX Aquarium
We started our day at COEX Aquarium, where the kids were fascinated by the stingrays and jellyfish.
They were eager to read the signs and try saying the animal names in English — a perfect natural learning moment.
After that, we headed to a quiet spot: the Sinsa Children’s Forest Library.
I loved how the moms found books to read with their kids, and the cozy space sparked so many mini English conversations.
We wrapped up with a peaceful walk near Bongeunsa Temple.
It felt like the perfect way to end the day — calm, meaningful, and filled with new words to remember.
Why I Recommend These Places
As a teacher, I always try to connect experiences to language.
These three spots are fun, safe, and help kids naturally use and hear English — without the pressure of a classroom.
Tip for Parents Visiting Seoul
Try adding one learning-focused place to each fun day out.
It keeps the balance just right.
